You will now be asked what type of phone you have – Android or iPhone. Choose accordingly.
You will now see a QR code along with a secret key below it. Note down this key as you will need it later.
To generate the MFA OTPAuth URI, you can use any third-party authentication app such as Google Authenticator or Authy. Open the app on your phone and choose the option to add a new account by scanning a QR code. Scan the QR code shown on your computer screen or manually enter the secret key that you noted down earlier.
The third-party authentication app should now display a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds. This is your unique code that you will need along with your password every time you log in to your AWS account.
